Ghost Walks
Every Tuesday and Wednesday night in July and August at 7:00 p.m. the OSS sponsors our famous "Ghost Tour". Beginning at St. Patrick's Church the tour winds its way to other buildings in the historic northend of Sydney that have "ghostly" connections.

"Part of St. Patrick's Church was built on a graveyard and according to legend the tombstones were moved but the remains of early settlers were left untouched. In the 1980's when St. Patrick's was undergoing remodelling the bodies of Captain John Butler Wilson and his son were found beneath the floorboards."
The tour progresses to the corner of Amelia Street and the Esplanade to the home of the late Robert Duhaget. His spirit is still believed to be in residence there. The tour moves on to Charlotte Street where prisoners were held in small cells in the basement of Number 25. Skeletal remains of prisoners were also found in the cellar of a house further along Charlotte Street. The tour also passes by Victoria Park, scene of the triple execution by hanging of the woman and two men convicted in the Flahaven murder case.
